Promoting Helicopter Industry Growth in India​

The Rotary Wing Society of India (RWSI), established on June 18, 1998 (Registration No. S33154), is a not-for-profit professional society based in New Delhi. Dedicated to fostering the growth of the civil and military helicopter industry in India, RWSI aims to promote helicopters as a safe and effective mode of commerce while advancing the development of the civil helicopter sector. With 15 Honorary Members, 188 Corporate Members (including 90% of helicopter operators), and 1,342 Life Members, RWSI proudly represents professionals who have significantly contributed to Indian aviation.

Connecting the Helicopter Community

RWSI operates regional chapters in Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore to serve the needs of the helicopter community and further industry growth. The Society also hosts IndianRotors.in, a virtual Crew Room for helicopter professionals to connect, share insights, and discuss industry-related issues. Members are encouraged to express their views, and any concerns requiring regulatory attention are actively pursued by RWSI’s dedicated team. Join us today to be a part of this vibrant community!

Our objectives include fostering cooperation, enhancing professional skills, and sharing data to improve helipad and heliport quality and safety. We collaborate with regulatory authorities, similar institutions, and government/private sectors, promoting aero-medical sciences and rotary-wing engineering. Activities include publishing, organizing events, and advancing safety standards to achieve excellence in the industry.

The Mission of the Society is to promote advancement of the helicopter and UAV industry and also to achieve highest levels of safety and efficiency.

Rule Book

The New Rule Book of the Society has been prepared after incorporation of the decisions taken during 1st to 19th AGM meetings in to the existing Rule Book.
